Up to £45,000 plus benefits - Hybrid/Office 

Are you a qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with a keen interest in sustainable design and innovative building practices? This is an emerging opportunity to join a new and existing consultancy, who specialise in delivering cutting-edge sustainability solutions and promoting the ‘circular economy’ within the construction sector, working with Tier 1 Contractors, Consultants and Private Clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and details assessments and reuse of materials on building projects, incorporating principles of the circular economy.
• Collaborate with architects, sustainability experts and project managers to develop innovative, low-carbon, and resource-efficient building solutions.
• Assess the environmental impact of construction materials and techniques, promoting the reuse, recycling, and reduction of building waste.
• Conduct structural analysis, calculations, and detailed design for new-build and retrofit projects.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in sustainability, advising clients and internal teams on best practices.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, sustainability standards, and environmental certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).

Key Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience in civil or structural engineering, ideally with a focus on sustainability or environmentally conscious projects (2-3years experience).
• Knowledge and understanding of the circular economy, life-cycle assessment (LCA), and sustainable construction practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• A passion for reducing environmental impact and driving change in the construction industry.
