Senior Quantity Surveyor Heritage Projects Central London

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum

• Our client is a distinguished heritage contractor renowned for their dedication to preserving and enhancing some of the most historically significant buildings in Central London. Projects often involve prestigious restoration and conservation works that require meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for historical integrity.

The Role:

• On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial and contractual management of heritage projects is conducted with the utmost precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and management of project budgets and cost control.
• Valuation of completed work and arranging payments.
• Risk management and cost control.
• Preparation of contractual claims.
• Measure and value the work done on site.
• Liaise with client representatives and other stakeholders on commercial matters.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, preferably with experience in heritage or restoration projects acting as main contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction law and various forms of Conditions of Contract.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in relevant QS software.
• RICS accreditation is highly desirable.
