Structural Engineer | Resident Engineer Construction Jobs | 12 to 18 month assignment | London

Up to £375 per day shift

An opportunity to represent an international development client with ambitious expansion plans in the UK. They require a ‘Resident Engineer’ for the construction of two major new build developments in the West End to include demolition of existing building, deep basement excavation and RC frame construction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Check work as it is being placed to be sure it is accurate within accepted tolerances
• Check correct application of construction drawings
• Inspect work and maintain quality control and safety
• Maintain field records
• Prepare daily construction reports
• Prepare contract items
• Ensure materials and equipment are available to meet the programmed works
• Study contract drawings and specifications to ensure proper resource and coordination of construction

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in a Resident Engineer / Consultant Engineer role
• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of demolition, RC structures and deep basement excavation
• Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others
• Extensive experience in commercial or mixed use building developments in the UK
